Student and Family Handbook

Introduction

The purpose of the Nathan Hale High School Student-Parent handbook is to establish uniform standards and expectations for student conduct. As a complement to the Tulsa Public Schools Student and Family Guide to Success, also known as the Behavior Response Plan (BRP), this handbook outlines the policies, processes, and procedures that have been developed specifically to suit the needs of the Ranger community.

These expected standards have been designed to promote both social and academic success and development and will be implemented without regard to race, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability.

It is the responsibility of the student and parent to be knowledgeable of and compliant with these established policies. The fact that something is not specifically listed or addressed in this document is not a valid excuse for conducting one’s self contrary to, or in a manner not complimentary to, or respectful of, the intent outlined by this policy.

Students who elect not to conform to the procedures, policies, and guidelines set forth will be subject to appropriate interventions, disciplinary actions and/or sanctions commensurate with the totality of the circumstances as provided for in the TPS Behavior Response Plan.
