Superintendent Johnson, Principal Sykes, and a JROTC student cut the ribbon at the new building

Hale High School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April to celebrate the opening of the new multisport complex, made possible by Tulsa voters who supported the district’s 2021 bond.

The ceremony included remarks from Superintendent Dr. Ebony Johnson and Principal Dr. Elton Sykes, as well as performances by the band and cheer team.

Hale’s new multisport complex will provide expanded opportunities for student-athletes, enhance physical education programming, and provide a modern, safe space to support student development. The new building represents a promise kept to voters and reflects the vision of the 2021 bond, which was a $414 million investment into the district in safe, accessible learning environments and expanded student opportunities. It includes an indoor soccer field, a FEMA-rated storm shelter believed to be the largest in the state of Oklahoma, a practice gym, and a student union space for Hale students to gather.
