NOTE: For the 2010-2011 school year, Hale Alumni Association has kindly bought brand new 3-inch binders AND 1 pkg of 8-tab Notebook Dividers for each Hale AVID student. You will NOT be required to buy a 3-inch binder unless you lose or tear up the one you have been given. Be prepared to spend $8-12 dollars for a replacement if you do not take care of the one you are given. 3-inch binders are mandatory for AVID students.  A special thank you to Stewart Leigh for coordinating this purchase and delivery!
**NOTE 2:  These supplies will be kept in the student's individual AVID binder and used in all classes, not just the AVID elective.

You will need to have the following school supplies in your AVID binder by the second week of class:

1          3-hole pencil pocket to go in binder
1 box     8 ct. Colored Pencils
4          Different Colored Highlighters (i.e. any combination of yellow, blue, green, purple, pink &/or orange)
2          #2 Pencils, minimum
2          Ink Pens, minimum.  One black and one blue recommended
1          8-12 inch ruler
1          Standard Algebra calculator (or better, if required by your math teacher)
1          Standard pink eraser or pencil cap style erasers
3-4 pkgs     3 hole Loose-leaf Notebook Paper

RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED
1 box    Facial Tissues (e.g. Kleenex)
1-2       3 hole Pocket Dividers to store odd shaped handouts
1          manual pencil sharpener
